Our client in Uppsala is seeking a Global Project Manager in Change Management to lead a significant initiative within their R&D facilities.

Your main missions are:

The project aims to implement a Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) to streamline data management within their R&D operations. This is a major transformation, requiring not only technical integration but also a significant adaptation of user workflows.

In this role, you will take the lead in managing the change process on the business side of the SDMS implementation. You will work closely with the IT Project Manager to ensure a smooth transition to the new system, ensuring that users are engaged and adapt their workflows to the new processes. The project also involves ensuring that users adhere to the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and good documentation practices, making this position central to the project’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business side of the SDMS implementation, focusing on change management and user adaptation.
  • Collaborate with the IT Project Manager to ensure the system is integrated properly into the existing infrastructure.
  • Engage and support stakeholders across various departments to align workflows with FAIR data principles.
  • Identify and implement changes in operational processes to ensure successful change management.
  • Coordinate continuous business alignment with system configuration to meet business needs and oversee formal user acceptance testing.
  • Drive training and communication initiatives to ensure effective adoption of the new system and workflows.

Your profile:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on change management within R&D or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of FAIR data principles and their application within research environments.
  • Ability to lead and engage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in guiding users through major transitions.
  • Experience working with SDMS or similar systems within R&D is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with IT counterparts and bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Flexibility to work on-site as per project needs, with up to 100% presence during certain weeks.
